Deep in blue
Deep in Blue is a deeply personal work for me. Created in 2025 55x55cm sculpture on canvas with handmade frame, mixed clay acrylic paint and alcohol ink.
Inspired by the ocean, it reflects my own need for stillness, depth, and movement at the same time. The sea has always felt endless to me — calming, powerful, and honest — and this piece grew out of that feeling.
Through raised, flowing vertical forms and layered 3D textures, I wanted to capture the rhythm of water in motion, the way waves never truly stop but constantly transform. Working with different tones of blue, enriched with soft touches of gold, white, and teal, felt like searching for light beneath the surface — moments of clarity, hope, and quiet strength.
The tactile surface is intentional. I wanted this artwork to invite closeness and touch, just as nature does, reminding us to slow down and feel rather than rush past. Deep in Blue holds my connection to the sea and to myself — a place where I can breathe, reflect, and return whenever I need grounding.
